I Used To Have What Seemed To Be Paranormal Experiences. Are They Starting Again?

I am in my 30's. My life is quite normal. I recently met somebody I fell in love with and we are now together.
The man in my life has inexplicable experiences. I used to have them as well, until I was 28 years old. Then they stopped.
Nothing's happened since. Until now, I think.
Something bothers my boyfriend at night. He has seen snakes on the ground, which appeared for a second then vanished. A python like creature appeared on the bed once. He feels 'something' is going to attack him. He is wide awake during these experiences. They are not dreams.
Two nights ago, he heard something trying to rise up from the floor, up his mattress. He described something that sounded like low growling. That same night, I woke up when something rolled off my dresser and hit the ground. I heard it but could find nothing on the floor in the morning. I recalled a dream the night before, about a little boy acting crazy and I had a hand on his forehead, was saying a prayer for him.
My boyfriend has seen and felt these things all his life. I, on the other hand, have had some experiences of the paranormal nature but they have been spaced out between each other over a time period and then they stopped, like I said, when I was 28 years old.
