When my kids were very young in the late 80s and early 90s I would make up songs for them and stories at bed time, which kept my brain in overdive! But the great thing about kids is that you can be as wild and wacko as you want and they usually love it. So one of the songs I wrote for them was called, "Mr. Toast", a sing-a-along with a part of kids to shout out. I would sing Mr. Toast in the elementary schools during my kid's class and to this day, those kids still ask my grown up children,"Does your dad still sing Mr. Toast?" Adults also hound me to sing it, even new friends. I finally decided to record it the funny little tune and put it out on CDbaby for digital download. Here's how it goes: "There was a little piece of bread that had to arms, two leggins and a head/ his name - is Mr. Toast!/ He's the grumpiest piece of bread you'll find/ No one know why he's crabby all the time/ His name - is Mr. Toast!/ But spread a little butter on our grumpy little friend and he'll love you till the very end/ Spread a little butter on our grumpy little friend and he'll love you till the very end - the very end!" If you want to hear the song drop me a line and I will send you a link.
