"The board of directors needs to defenestrate the CEO." It means to get rid of, or literally, "throw out the window,"  Which if you're a CEO is a little harsher than just being asked to clean out your desk.  (Anyone got a box?)

I have seen this word before - mostly in murder mysteries where they state that it was "death by defenestration". This word makes sense if you know Latin because the Latin word for window is fenestra...

Well, I don't know Latin, but it made me laugh when it was used to say that the company needed to defenestrate the CEO!
