Stress

I know that my favourite thing to say when under stress is ' Hell's Bells and buckets of blood.' I think it's very good at saying just how you feel and certainly leaves a lingering smile on my face.

I think I probably first heard it from my Mother when her hand got crushed between the car door and car. My mother, being refined as she is said this instead of, presumeably, swearing. My mum can''t be doing with swearing, which is another saying she always has, ' Quoting is the language of the diamonds, swearing is the language of the gutter,'

One of my favorites is my mother's also (unrealistic as it is): "Horses sweat, men perspire and ladies glow."
