Not As Much As I Used To

When I was growing up, I loved being woken by the crash of thunder at night, or listening to a storm as I fell asleep. Once I even saw earth-to-cloud lightning (fairly rare), a wrote a short story about it while in school that won in a local competition.

I also love being in the rain, though I don't like leaving shelter while it's raining, which is somewhat of a conundrum.

I still love listening to storms, though more often than not, these days, is through a storm-generator app on my phone. However, the side-effects of being in a genuine storm detract from the experience.

I've had some joint problems in the past few years, and now I can feel storms coming, changes in air pressure. It's not much fun.
