Staying Active

Since my shoulder injury I have not been able to work out normally. Then came surgery so no activity at all. It has really been difficult to be inactive. I feel 100% better in every way when I'm active. I truly value my good health that allows me to be active. I have started walking the past couple weeks which is better than nothing but I really miss running. I love intense exercise and cant wait to feel that again. Since this whole thing started I have put on about 20 pounds. Now if you look at me you wouldn't say oh, shes overweight. Because I was so thin, athletic and on my way to lean. But now, I have to knock it off again which I will. Already planning. Cant wait to start.

I'm not a fan of running but I love walking. Hikes, mostly day hikes because I'm not a fan of sleeping on the ground but sometimes you just have to walk a long ways and it takes more than a day to get to where the real beauty is.

One recent hike I took around here was to a place called The Enchantments. It was 10 miles in and we climbed 6000 feet to get there but what an incredible place to see. Lakes and streams and snow surrounded by Aspens on a hot day high in the mountains of Eastern Washington. The view all the way up was spectacular and constantly changing.

Awesome. :)
