he first time I cooked on my own was when I was about 12. I found a recipe for crepes and around 6 o'clock one morning I got up and started to try out the recipe. My mom woke up around 7 am and came downstairs and into the kitchen to see what I was doing. By that time, I had a stack of about a dozen crepes stacked up and ready for jelly and confectioners' sugar. She was shocked. Now I'm vegetarian (have been for nearly 2 decades) and my love of cooking made the transition to vegetarianism very easy. I often cook for groups of friends. For over three years, we had a weekly dinner hosted at the home of a married couple who are close friends of ours and I would do all of the cooking for 9-12 people. It was like having 53 Thanksgivings a year. :)

 | Posted Aug 13th, 2008 at 1:45PM would die to learn ssome flip flop recipes.for instentance spatgetti sause. the next day I but bar-b-q sause in it to make sloppy joes.and dishes as such.I need the more the merrier.could you please help me with this to surrive the bush years |
 | Posted Aug 26th, 2008 at 6:50AM I learned to cook when I was nine. That's when I decided I wanted to be a chef. (That never happened) I used to watch my mom make meals and then just copy what she did. It was so easy. The only thing I used to have problems making was rice. I could never get it to come out unsticky for a long time. I finally got it it after a good many years. Now I hate cooking. I liked it better when I did it for enjoyment and not for necessity. |
