Comes With the House

I firmly believe that every home in America built from 1950 on came with a copy of the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook.

I'll usually start with somebody's recipe the first time.  After that I tend to substitute things or make it my own.  I like the whole process of cooking, from cutting vegetables to even doing the dishes.  It's the one time I wish I wasn't on my own.  There are only so many dishes you can make that are okay when reheated for coworkers the next day.  (Though they don't seem to mind.)

That is the best way to do it. I use three recipies and mix them. We all have our own taste, and it sure feels good to create something people enjoy.

Send some of those leftovers my way! Yum!
