Welcome To The Wonder World Of Zumba

I like to lift weights and ride a bike for exercise. It keeps me fit, more fit than mostly everyone I know. The kind of fit that allows me to enjoy life and makes me think that I will live to see 100 years old.
While at the gym the other day, a young lady mentioned that she was going to try Zumba on Sunday and that I should consider going. I had no idea what to expect. I went. She didn't go. I didn't back out though. I figured, "What the heck. I'm here."
If you don't know what Zumba is, I will give you a brief explanation. Zumba is an aerobic routine performed with mostly Latin dance moves and set to Latin dance music. It's a combination of exercise and dance. There's a lot of hip shaking and body movement going on. It isn't difficult, per say, but I can tell that it will take me a few visits to get the moves down.
I have to say that it was a BLAST. There were about 24 ladies there, ages ranging from about 18 to 60. There were only 3 guys there. The lady facilitating the Zumba group might be considered a cyborg. I don't think she broke a sweat. And her ability to move her body was quite impressive. I found it an excellent way to cap off a two hour session of lifting weights.
I recommend it to anyone interested in adding an extra cardio session to their workout regimen. I think that this will be part of my Sunday routine for awhile.
