Is Flirting Cheating?

I like to flirt (I'm not very good at it!) but I like to flirt. I don't do it very often and see no harm in it as I have no intention of moving on from flirting to any kind of intimacy. However, I was chatting to my wife about it last night and she believes that it is a form betrayal, obviously not as severe as kissing someone else or sleeping with someone else but all the same a form of unfaithfulness. I was interested in what other people think, male or female, is it seen as cheating?

My personal feelings are along the same lines as yours, My wife's feelings are more like your wife's although I would have to say my wife doesn't see different levels of unfaithfulness with one being as bad as another.

I had this out on here a few days ago, as someone remarked about my flirting when im married, but no ive always enjoyed flirty banter with men its what attracted my husband to me as he's the same, im lucky as he's ok with it unlike your wife but theres no physical interaction so wheres the big deal. You've either got to reign it in if your wife is not happy, or do it where its not in her face and therefore cannot hurt her feelings.....

  I wouldn't dream of doing it right in front of her so I guess it's out of sight and out of mind. I know my limits, flirting is harmless fun to me and it would never be a threat to my relationship with my wife. In fact I think it helps with self esteem and confidence which can only be a good thing.
