Comparitive Religion and Mythology

Joseph Campbell's books opened my eyes as to how there are these common threads that run throughout time and various cultures creating this wonderful tapestry of humanity and belief. These commonalities seem to me to be a possible foundation for a peaceful existence between diverse cultures. These timeless tales that are retold and remolded, but carry with them the time valued lessons that we all can apply to our lives today are to be celebrated. My favorite quote and now an anthem in my own life is for us "to follow your bliss." I feel that now that I am truly committed to doing what I love; that I am more at peace and less stressed than with any career path I've ever chosen. I highly recommend such a decision to anyone searching for happiness in their life.
