Bookworm!

I started reading @ a very young age thanks to my mother, who read with me each night from infancy. I wish I had a dollar for every book I have ready, it has to be in the hundreds, maybe even more than a thousand. I do not read as much as I used to, thanks to the internet. :(

I too love books.

I totally identify with you there, Books , all shapes, sizes, authors, I can never get enough of. I have read a variety of works, and cannot attribute one or two favourites. To me books are my salvation , and saving grace. A world to escape to, characters to portray, plots to get caught up in. Although I love my kindle , but handling books and turning the pages , is irreplaceable, call me old fashioned lol, but that is the truth .

i'm a bookworm too, like you thanks to my parents. I've got that many books I ran out off shelf space so my friend gave me another book shelf,,,, erm, that's full now aswell!

I am constantly reading. I just recently read Breaking Dawn in 2 weeks. Before that I read the entire Hunger Games trilogy in 3 weeks. I just can't get enough of these books. I hope Stephanie Meyer has some new ones coming out soon. I'm about to start the Host...see how quick I can get through it.

haha i really like to read, and it doesnt matter to me wheter i do it on the internet or an actual book... like, i specially like reading on this website called FanFiction.net... its really cool, y'all should check it out

Mine as well. It was my escape when I was a kid.

i like reading too much too...I wish I could buy more books but I don't have a money for it and the bookstore in our place are only selling books for studying. I like romance novels with mature twist to it.

For me , to read is to take myself into a world where all I understand is the story, to be captured in a story is excilirating. The feel of a book in my hands , and to gently touch of the pages with my hand while holding the book close to my face and smelling it's sent is exciting , no where can a laptop or computer compare.I love to read

I love reading non-fiction books. It sets my mind straight!

Hehe..i read too a lot! but not to the extend of bookworm

i am bipolar and very anxious . reading is sometimes the only thing that can calm me. I usually have four to ten books going at the same time . the recession has made me read books i had bought, but had not read yet. what a treat that has been!. i usually bought books with very good reviews or award winners,so i have been having fun going back through my library.i also have a very understanding librarian who does not bat an eye when i check out fifteen books ,lucky me!

I came from a very poor rural family. I don't think they read two books between the 10 of them. For some reason I couldn't get enough books. I think it had something to do with my first and second grade teachers. They told me I could see the world through books. They were right. I left that little one horse town and saw the world. Once through books then when I grew up and joined the Navy. I did my best to teach my children to read but they grew up in the technology age. They never read anything except maybe abreviated text messages. OMG BFF ROFL. New words I guess. At least I know they are intelligent and can deal with their world. I'm old school though. Give me paper anytime. It just feels good.

To country8, If she is 6 years old and love to read. By all means let her read, she is learning. Maybe when she gets older she will write on similar subjects. Times have changed and you are to give the reader what they want to keep them interested in your book. Your granddaughter is learning. And if she ask questions you do not know or want to answer, refer her to the local library and they will refer her to books where she can learn the information she's curious about. The libarian will help you to help her learn.... Let them know what she's interested in reading and they will be able to recommend other books by that same author or subject matter....

My mom used to read to me too :)

Reading, I love reading. I am 58 and have just finished for the 2nd time Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows. I think J K Rowling is a brilliant author. Her imagination is fantastic. An other author is like is Barbara Erskine. I have been reading since I was a wee girl and the first books I read were Enid Blytons novels. I cant go to sleep until I have read some pages of my book.

I learnt to read at a very young age. I write now, too, but mostly fanfiction (fanfiction . net is a great place to read hundreds of stories, all for free), and occasionally I think up ideas for original things.

Recently, though, I'm looking more at non-fiction. Does anyone know a decent site (not wikipedia, but something that explains things simply) where you could find interesting things to learn?

hey i like reading to

If you like to read, volunteer at Gutenberg Project. They are converting old books into ebook and audio books. You can volunteer to be a proofreader or recorder, reading aloud putting the books on audio book. It's fun and they help you....You will be bringing old books back to life again.. You help is needed..
