Not Just Books...

...but Newspapers and fine-print and the sides of cereal boxes too. Street signs, sky writing, graffiti on the bathroom stalls. Wrist watches, store receipts, name tags, subtitles, car wash ads. I read.

Train advertisements, warning labels, prescription bottles, Ikea instructions - all check, I read.

When I first moved to Finland and I couldn't *read* the world around me, my brain freaked out and I had the most vivid dreams of my entire life (and I died every night in my own dreams for 7 nights). I honestly think it's because I could not read and I was undergoing some sort of drop in stimulation.

I must read! :)
