Birds Without Wings By Louis De Bernieres

This 600 page book wont take you long to read. It grabs your mind and forces you to care about the fictional characters who live in a very non fictional world. Taking place in Turkey in the early 1900's de Bernieres combines history with the wonders of a fictional love/ tragedy plot line. Dont worry, although it takes place in the early 1900's it was written in the early 2000's. There wont be an issue understanding it too much. But, it will open your mind to a place and time you may not be familiar with so keep google ready to search many Turkish words. Which is actually quite fun to learn about.

What I love the most is that this book is that it will make you realize just how "human" we all are. I love this book also because of de Bernieres' usage of the english language. It's a magnificent plot, while beautifully and creatively written. Please do yourself a favor and put forth an effort to read this book! :)

P.S. Skip over the war chapters if you get easily nauseous.
