I Love Reading

Reading gives me such a nice high. I get excited every time I smell books, and I have a shelf where all the books I have read are displayed like trophies.

When I read, I get a sense of how other peoples' lives may be, and I realize how big and strange and beautiful the world really is. It makes me want to work harder so I can afford to discover other parts of the world someday.

Reading gives us the chance to see how the other half lives in regards to all aspects of the human mind. It lets you open your mind and try to understand how others see life and the world.

It's good to know I'm in the company of friends!
Nkenny47, I read all sorts of stuff, from classics to contemporaries to children's literature and sometimes even comics. Right now I'm reading this thought experiment book called "The Pig that Wants to Be Eaten" by Julian Baggini. It's interesting because it asks questions about different ethical situations, like would it be better to eat a pig that wants to be eaten?
JamesJon, I wish I could go to a library and read like that! Our libraries here aren't quite as nice, and lately all I've been getting to read when I'm in the library I frequent are professional books.

We are cut from the same cloth, Happilylost. I could wall myself off in a library for days.
