Posted Sep 4th, 2007 at 9:31PM Yeah, I like being able to just get away to an entirely different place and time. It's nice to be able to relax doing something that entertains me so much. However, I really do not like it when I don't agree with the ending to a book. Sometimes I feel like a bad ending can ruin a whole book. Luckily, I've only read a few like this, but still...I like reading about things that aren't real or would never happen in my life. You know?
Posted Jul 24th, 2009 at 6:52PM, last updated Jul 24th, 2009 at 6:52PM I am so glad you posted that. I read a lot too. I only read romance and science fiction/fantasy books though. I just finished It from Stephen King and Wuthering Heights. I have read twilight and harry potter books a million times each. Well, I dont know, but so many times I can't count. I am going through a hard time with my grandpa going through lung cancer. It is hard. So I find that instead of slipping into nowheres land, which is what happended last time. I went into depression. well. I find myself going into books. Non stop. It helps me deal with everything. I could not live with out books:)
Posted Jul 30th, 2009 at 5:26AM, last updated Jul 30th, 2009 at 5:27AM I love to read generally because a lot of things interests me. Sadly (kinda), I read now to escape reality like yourselves & like Candita, sinking feeling hits when it ends - just like a hang-over but much more worth it (just bec you get to learn some). Like luluthebookluver, I read a lot of books over & over. I actually read a book on top of the other. when the story of the new book is getting sad or boring, I read the book I already read several times just because I already know it will make me happier. I sometimes also read some book just because I hate not finishing what I already started, so I get back to it ones I'm feeling better again - which makes me read the beginning of one book several times but NEVER finish it :) lulu-hang in there. aside from reading stories, why don't you try to read the bible as well and also try to talk to your loved ones. It always helps if you could share what you're going through with someone who, if not understand, at least will be there for you. Talk to God too - he's always available (remind me sometimes coz i always forget).
