Just Started.

Okay so I am not an avid runner, but I do like to do it.  I just started running yesterday, and it makes me feel great!  I remember I used to hate to run.  Running a mile in PE class forget it, I was a walker. 

This year I am determined to lose 35 lbs.  I have already lost 10, but have kind of hit a plateau.  So, I started running, I know this will help me get into shape. 

Yesterday, I couldn't even make it to the stop sign at the end of the street.  Today I told myself I can make it, and I did, even though I thought my heart was going to pound out of my chest!  It is a nice way to spend time with my 2 year old as well.  I put her in her stroller and we get some fresh air together.  I have also convinced my husband that he should come with us and bring the dog, so it can be a family activity with exercise.  He says he will go with tomorrow.  We will see, but I know I will be going.  I will see if I can make it past the stop sign tomorrow.

Nice one - I started running and managed 8 minutes... <br />
I now run half marathons - its a buzz when you get it!<br />

Can't fault you making it a family activity - that willl make it so much better as you'll motivate each other.<br />

that's awesome! i need to get into running myself...except it's SO cold here now lol i actually LIKE to run, i just haven't made myself do it again yet....but hopefully when the weather warms up...i think it'll help me lose those last 15lbs or so lol
