Hey Kat, thank you from somewhere really deep. I have never come across this before and while reading it wanted to take it from the monitor, fold it up, put it in my pocket, and take it with me to refer to it throughout my daily walks. I have my version of it's timeless wisdom, but much poorly said, and on a much duller canvass.... Like your joy about The Peter Principle title from me, this is that from you!

I have only this year clearly seen and accepted this truth. I have always resisted and felt such sorrow when someone's time with me ended. I suppose it's only natural when we come to love someone to want them to be there forever. I am learning to just be grateful for whatever time I am granted with those I care about. Thank you for sharing this. :)

What would be your reason, for the persons love, to come in to your life for more than a season, but for less than a lifetime.

Hi Kat, Yes this poem is lovely. I always try to make love last a life time but I have found sometimes it does come for a reason and then ends when the reason has been realized or for a season and the season ends. It's always hard for me to let the person go but do manage to let go in the end even if I don't do it in as lady like mannor as I should. I still think life long loves are the best. Nice post, dear.

    Thank you very much Eric.

Yes...this poem has been around a long time.

However, when I read it...I still find it very inspiring!

    Hugs!
