I realize this might be a bit miscategorized, because it's not a food recipe, but it is still a recipe nevertheless. It is for homemade liquid laundry detergent, and if you're tired paying a ton of money for laundry detergent, this is a nice alternative.
Ingredients:
1/3 bar of Zote soap (Ivory soap can do the trick here, too, but I used Zote.)
1/2 cup of Washing Soda (I used Arm and Hammer.)
1/2 cup of Borax
Water
Essential oil (preferably something with a citrus smell, but you don't even need to use essential oil of you don't want to)
Process:
Also, make sure you shake the bottle prior to each use.
The whole process took me about half an hour to make the mixture, so it's not all that time-consuming, either.

- Stir well and then put into containers for use.
