Hungarian Sausage Loaf

In 1 pound of  fresh pork  sausage :    Saut'e 1 cup of sliced mushrooms in 2T. butter. Add 1 egg, 2 cups of  dry bread crumbs ,  dash of pepper , half cup of chopped onion.  Mix and shape into a small loaf. Sprinkle on the top, 1 tsp of paprika.  
Bake  covered 30 min at 350 deg,   remove lid and bake 20- 30 min more.
Serves 4..This is very easy to double .  Baking time may be a little longer if you use 2 pounds of Sausage.  Add a bit of garlic if you prefer a savory taste.    Actually, add any herb to get creative   Bon Appitite
