I Love Walking In The Australian Bush

I just love my country and there is nothing like walking in the bush.  There are different kinds of bush.  I love temperate rainforests but my favourite kind to walk in are dry schlerophyll forests.  I love the smell of eucalyptus and I love our unique flora and fauna.  There is nothing like walking in the bush and coming across a marsupial.  Around here it is mainly black footed wallabies.  I am forever looking out for koalas but I have only once found them while walking in the bush.  I love the combination of vigorous exercise and beautiful and interesting surroundings.

When I was little, we lived on a bush block and we loved to explore.  I only wish I knew then what I know now about signs of aboriginal occupancy and how to look for wildlife.

But of course! You will both be most welcome.

HOORAY! Can the Hubby come too? We both love Koalas.

Thank you, Solia. Koalas are adorable animals, utterly inoffensive under ordinary circumstances. Since writing this story I have come across dozens of koalas in the bush. So if you come to Australia, I will show you the best spots and you can have a go at koala spotting.

Koalas must be the cutest. God put you in the right place. Austrailia is full of unique wildlife and wonderful hikes!
