I Wrote This Poem At the Begining of My Depression......

Heavy weighted, heavy heartfelt hatred Underestimated, undeniably aggravated And amazement that I made it – thus far With the help of “Rock of Ages” Always tested, alwas second guessed Never got emancipated – like “Mimi” Shines so bright I see, no role model for me What this world has done to me, almost broke me Tried to choke-hold me, made my knees buckle from under me But I broke free, something inside of me pushed on relentlessly Although it left a sour taste in my mouth, nothing pleases me Don’t blame no one for my problems Yet it don’t change the fact that I got them Nice guys finish last, and they have the nerve to ask “What’s the problem?” Yea nice guys finish last, the same as the last From the past to present, now back to the past Tired of being right but still in the wrong Surprised to find the strength to keep on, pushin on.
