Another time, another world
My soul had given up the fight
Dreams clashed with reality
On that strange, surreal night

Deep in the lonely forest
I was gazing into space
As silver drops of mercury
Were streaming over my face

Vapour trails crossed the moon
As a meteor storm streaked by
A journey of no consequence
For those vagabonds in the sky

The planet with the seven rings
Glowed with a magenta hue
Rotating at the speed of light
When it appeared within my view

A million shards of golden light
Were showered from its crust
They fell onto my exposed flesh
And turned into specks of dust

The angel who soared high above
Was looking deeply in my eyes
I heard her sweet voice calling
‘You must come to me, arise’

The dark star self destructed
We were purged of all our sin
And the angel opened her arms
As the universe began to spin

My aching soul rose up to hers
Where together they would bind
For she was the daughter of god
And I was the son of mankind
