Oh, Those Divine Barockers

Since my early childhood I thought that Bach was jazzy.  Maybe it was the basso continuo, maybe the playful simplicity of all his 'tunes', maybe it was the absence of any effort. 

For all these reasons J.S.B. is one of the super heroes of all times.

The red Priest, as (the frivolous) Vivaldi was called, was a contemporary of Bach, Haendel and Monteverdi.   He wrote fast and almost nonchalant but was influential. 

It's great to learn that he wrote his music for girls to perform it behind a curtain.
