Little Bits Of Magic

I have several. Some outside, some inside.

Long time ago, I was just a young teen, in the throws of my first 'romance', and he had left....sob...This old woman (I have no idea how old..I was young, lol) gave me a small glass wind chime, then in her heavy island accent she told me "You hang this by your window chile and tell it what you want, the wind it will bring you what you be looking for"

So being young and very much in love:::sigh:::: I did.

I've hung wind chimes ever since. Sometimes I tell them what I am looking for, sometimes I don't. Little fairy askances, carried on the winds.

It's easy to imagine the tinkling of the chimes ringing and being carried all over, from one breeze to the next. Does the sound stop with the limit of my hearing or continue, much as the rippling of a pond?

But I don't spend a lot of time on that thought...I just enjoy my wind chimes. The smallest breeze outside can set them ringing. And in the house, movement, or even the warmth of a candle or the radiator, rising up can cause them to tinkle lightly.
