I Like Women With Meat On Their Bones
The only way a woman is at all healthy is with about a minimum of 12% body fat. It's the only reason you even have the coveted "hourglass figure" in the first place. There's a wide range of attraction, for me, between "overweight" and "underweight." I've thought some women were pretty attractive up to 180 lbs, but I don't think I've seen a woman yet who is under 100 lbs that I've thought was alluring without any reservations. And that's kind of a problem, since it really does conflict with social ideals.
Our society is sick. It is psychologically ill. Eating disorders - which are often accompanied by self-destructive impulses either latent or produced as a byproduct - are a direct result of our insane cultural standards. We idolize these anorexic women and then wonder why anorexia is a problem. Because like the anorexics themselves, our fixation isn't really on "thin" as some definite concept, it's just on "thinner." There's no ideal weight or ideal body type, there's just this vague, nebulous idea that the thinner a girl is, the prettier she is.
It's disgusting. There's hope for individual girls victimized by our standards, but less hope for the standards at large.
