Anger

People who say things in anger think differently than a calm person. And by think differently I mean they don’t think.

No, it isn't easy to do when you are upset. But that's what really seprerates people, doing things when they are not easy. If it were easy, it wouldn't be valuable.

haha I like that. "Anger, the best contraceptive."

But you are wise for not actually giving the angry letters to the people they are directed at. And I think you are also wise for letting yourself experience catharsis, and releasing the pent-up emotion by writing it down.

Writing things out can do two things: it can release your emotion, but it can also sharpen your thoughts.

Great comment, Dubonnet!

If only people were as wise as you, this wouldn't be a problem.

So is waiting a few hours or even sleeping on it. Responding from pure emotion, especially heated anger, can be one of the most costly things you can do. People have a tendency to never forget what you say to them when you are angry. I have had to learn this the hard way a few times.

I think it is one of the most valuable lessons to learn for effective communication.
