Band On The Run

Wasnt that a great album for '75. I was in my first flatting experience still having moist ambilical cords with college buddies. We didnt hang around school once old enough to leave. Man i was lost as to what i do next. But then Band on the run came on the airways, and i felt ok cuz i was a Beatles fan from childhood. My sister played thier albums on her record player all the time. So as long as Paul McCartney was still produceing incredible music, all was well with the world. I was discovering this wonderful marajuana drug. Hopeing it would all come to an end pretty soon, the world and everyone on it, i didnt wanna waste time worrying about whether to take life seriously. I was sure it would be coming to an end because i had been informed it was going to.
Then a little later,  thank god another album from wings. It was nearly as good too. Venus and Mars. Paul was hangin in there not letting his creative skills go to waste and useing all that grunt that came from being one of the fab four. The albums kept coming but with a little less chart topping punch as the previous. By the time Mull of Kintyre came out, the writeing was on the wall for wings. In my mind anyway. And besides, other groups where emergeing by end of seventies that started to leave Paul and wings in the dust.
It was only just since contributeing to this story topic that i have even brought them to mind. In thier day they were fantastic.

Gotta tell ya that I saw Paul McCartney and Wings live in Philly in 1976. I still have the ticket stub somewhere. I had the best seats I ever had at a concert. We were so close....you could see the hair under Linda's arm pits, as she tickled those ivorys. They started the concert off with "Rock Show" off the Venus and Mars album. They filled the arena with lights, bubbles, and some awesome music. I'll never forget it..

Wow, i am totally there. I can remember 76 very well. ...and to think you where over at a wings concert in Philadelphia.
