Music Is My Air

Music means so much to me, I cannot even begin to imagine a life without it. In fact, I would not even have a life without it. Ever since I was a baby, it has been a priority in my life (so the parents confirm).

It filled with my life with so much joy, and fun as a child, and well as it fuelled my dreams, aspirations and imagination as a child. I was an only child, so I spent nearly all of my time, listening to, dancing to, or thinking about music, so I didn't feel so alone. Without it, I honestly don't know what those years would have been filled with.

As a teenager, music played its most important role in my life. As many teenagers do, they become overwhelmed with new experiences and feelings, often being feelings of extreme emotion. As I become older, I plunged into a depression, that no one could seem to fix. To try and get out of this stage in my life, I began using harmful and desperate attempts to make myself feel better, but it only made it worse. Music, I realised could save me. Just by listening to it, I learnt how to control emotionals and how I felt and reacted to things. Although this was a slow process, it eventually worked and I am now stable enough.

So yes, in my eyes, it saved my life in a way. Music means the world to me. It is one of the few things my life revolves around. It is my air. I know I would be dead right now, if it were'nt for music.
