Sexless Marriage

The first 2 years of the marriage, the sex was great, than it got less and less than nothing.

What was really strange is my husband, did not even like me making advances after the sex was cut off, he said I was being dirty. How strange as he used to love me making advances towards him.

We are now living apart and are talking of divorce.

What gets me is nearly every time I talk to him, I cannot help but cry, as he as a lovely voice, why is this so.

As air passes thru his larynx, the vocal cords vibrate and the resultant sound disturbs air molecules which your aural cavities detect as vibrations which are then interpreted by your cerebal cortex as sound. Possibly soothing when the connection to the memory part of your brain comes in to play.

I am being a smartarse, and I apologise for that, but the point I want to get to is that it can be very helpful to take a very pragmatic and unemotional look at your relationship whilst you have a bit of distance between you. It helps you see things for what they ARE. Rather than what they 'could be' or 'should have been'.

It's a hard time for you. But every day that passes is getting you closer to the end resolvement of this situation, whatever that resolvement proves to be.

Tread your own path.

It's a mourning process. It will hurt and you will cry but, you have made the best decision of your life.

You have exhibited a courage many of us sorely lack.

So stay strong. This too shall pass.

My husband did the same thing too. Unfortunately it was never sucessfully resolved even with couseling, talking...everything we attempted to keep marriage together did not work. Let go and move on is the best advice I could give you. It's his problem not yours. Until I got on this site, I had no idea there were so many others out there like him. You will find another love who will appreciate your sexuality.
