In The Spring, A Young Man's Fancy..."In the spring, a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love." ~Alfred Lord Tennyson
I don't think Tennyson was a refuser:)
Every spring when the weather turns balmy, usually around May in our state, I would always feel hopeful...hopeful that my H. would feel amorous and that the gentle evening breeze with our bedroom windows open would set the mood for love. In an average spring, I might get some once or twice.
In our front yard we have a beautiful pink dogwood tree that we planted 18 years ago when we built this house. Somewhere along the way in my SM, I looked to the April blooms for consolation. A sign of hope; hope springs eternal.
When my separation is complete this summer and I move out this fall, I will sure miss that tree. She has been my companion through this long drought. But my hope springs eternal
