Living Alone And Loving It!

It is now seven months since I called it quits on my marriage and I am so happy.

Since I left, I have shed many tears and felt many fears, but have since, let it all go.

Since I left, I have also rediscovered my passion for writing and have even started back doing a little bit of it.

I have also rediscoverd my love for literature and for the arts. So much so, I have started hanging out with men like Monet, Renoir, Seurat, Turner, Voltaire and Van Gogh and I love how they make me feel. ;-)

I have also started doing new fun things like pub trivia. I am horrible at it, but have a good time whenever I attend.

Yes, I live alone, yes my bed is empty, yes the dinner table is quiet, but I am still loving my single life.

Leaving my dead sexless marriage was the best thing I ever did!.

My bed is already empty, and has been for the last 3 years of my marriage. I can't wait for the dinner table to be quiet instead of listening to her putdowns. Thanks for the jolt of inspiration I need for the final stretch.

Happy for you.

Awesome! So happy you are free :)

Feeling alone when you are alone is normal.
Feeling alone when married is not!

Here's to only feeling alone when you are actually alone.
Congrats! I am envious. :)

Congratulations! What a happy story, and you fully deserve to blossom and grow and be happy!

So happy for you...I am walking down your same path just 7 months behind you. Time to become alive again.

I slept badly for the first few weeks I was on my own. Would go to sleep and then wake up about 2am and feel AWUL. And I remember the simple pleasure of turning on the lights, making a hot drink, logging on to EP - and hoping to chat with FoP who was in a different time zone and usually awake when I was in bed.
No, it wasn't "amazing sex" nor "deep committed relationship" time - but it WAS freedom! And freedom means so much . . . .

Congratulations on your new life, Dawn! May it get better and better! {{{Hugs}}}

That is the truth in the early days of leaving. It is so wonderful to live fully out from under that dark cloud that is a sm. Good for you!

You go girl! Cheering for you from the side lines.

It's wonderful to relax in the evening with no drama and tension. Life is good, ND. Enjoy.

Congratulations! Sounds like heaven!

You do have the opportunity though to meet new people and perhaps your bed will not be empty, your time at the pub will be spent with someone, your walks through museums will be hand in hand etc.
I am happy you are happy.Thank you for sharing.

Congratulation! I like your positive outlook- I think I am headed that way myself...

Congratulations for a well deserved freedom. Enjoy life.

We have a great city for the arts, and for pubs, and festivals of all kinds. Enjoy!
Vegas, we even have a jazz festival. And if those aren't your cuppa, we're also close to nature, adventure, huntin' & fishin'.
