This weekend I began to clean out the closet that my stbxh and I share. We are preparing to put our house on the market, so it's time to donate clothes and clear the decks. I took some bittersweet satisfaction in tossing all the beautiful lingerie that I have accumulated over time, as these were symbols of many failed nights. Actually, I am donating them, not discarding them. You see, they are in mint condition never having been ripped, soiled or otherwise damaged in any act of lovemaking. Such a pity. I hope that they carry better karma to the next woman who wears them and that her lover finds them appealing.

I got rid of all my lingerie to I mean what did I need it for right? Than I bought a few new things for my lover he appreciated it much more.

That is sad but I do feel your pain. My marriage is pretty much in the same boat. It has been so long since he has touched me that I don't even dream about it anymore. I have tried so many times and been shot down that I no longer try. I wish you the best and hope you find someone who will love you the way you deserve to be loved!

I bought lingerie for h for valentines along with cologne that i liked and gave it to him before getting dressed for dinner. The note attached stating " you wear this for me now, I'll wear that for u later"

His response " I just took a shower and put my old cologne on, maybe tomorrow"

Lingerie in drawer with tags still on it.....

Maybe I should donate mine too.

I started to write a response, then realized I really needed to make it into a story of my own, because it was becoming about me, not about you.

I think if you feel the need to get rid of the lingerie in order to free yourself from the thoughts of the sexless bed it represents to you, go for it. Just make sure you aren't throwing it out because you've lost your sense of sexiness.

What a fool he was. My wife has never owned lingerie in her life. Not once. We've been together 12 years. I bought some once and she returned it (wow, just remembered that). She said it didn't fit. FINE, go by some that does. Seriously.
