I go through this on almost every occasion. My birthday is only a few days away. The wife is always asking what do I want. Meaning what can she buy me. It is always on the tip of my tongue to ask for something risque but can not set myself up for the response. What hurts most is remembering the days past when she would ask and offer this or that then would end by saying *******? That offer has not happened in a long, long time. Sigh.

Maybe this is a man thing, but I just don't really associate Mother's Day as one of those special days where I might expect to get laid. Valentine's Day. Anniversary. Birthday. Yes. Even long holiday weekends. Mother's Day - not so much.

  I hear you i was just having some fun and pulling her leg. The look on her face was priceless. She asked me once i answered, she followed up with no seriously, i repeated it again. I had a pleasant little chuckle seeing the expressions on her face.

  I guess I don't expect my husband to really get me anything for Mother's Day, but I do expect him to help my son get me something (this does not actually happen). So, there's perhaps a bit of an ick factor there for me. :-)
