Stopped Trying

I'v always had a very high sex drive but when I married my childhood sweetheart 2 years ago....I'v had to put it in park....so to speak.....my husband is extreamly overweight and on blood preasure meds. and water pills that kills his labido....we have tried repeatly to have sex but we both end up frustrated.I love him very much and have since I was 14....he was and is my best friend.........the hardest part is not being able to feel the closeness...the bond....We've done the toys...and the "SEX ACT"is performed......but not the love making.....that what I miss. Not the act but the sureal feeling of being........."ONE"If trying to have sex is going to frustrate us so much I would rather stop trying....and keep my best friend.

I have always thought where illness comes on the scene all bets are off with respect to sexual deprivation. It is beyond any individuals help.

However, that being said high blood pressure and obesity can be controlled and can be worked on to insure a better life.
I admire the strong affection you both have shared over the years. This will go a long way in helping you both to meet each others needs. Your marriage by the very depth of affection makes your solutions far easier than some others here.

I wish you both well in this.

Instead of going the "stop trying" route, which may not be as frustrating, but can certainly cause plenty of other misery...
As I'm sure you know, being overweight is often the root cause of blood pressure and water retention issues...

It certainly isn't easy, but obesity can be conquered, perhaps at least enough to rescue your sex life...
Don't give up... It's amazing what two people who love each other can accomplish if they work on it together...
