The Advice

i recently came across an article that was written by a therapist; answering her number one question-- what to do in a sexless marriage ?she said [ try to be romantic and passionate.. if that doesn't work ]"learn to hold your own hand", [look inside yourself, and love yourself. Then confront your partner and tell them how you feel. (In this way you yourself should be able to talk openly).. if that doesn't work and ] "you can't have what you want, want something else."

best of luck :)

lol all your comments are hilarious. im not personally in this dilemma but my mother is, and i know its not her fault, as far as i can tell it would be the people not giving who need therapy. my sympathies

Hold something and love yourself? What was that? Funny stuff.

I don't think anybody but someone going thought this can understand the heartbreak. I it is a very lonely place. I myself have been dealing with it for years and do not have the words to really describe how it feels. Someone that has read a book and listened to a lecture or to has no clue. My wife that I have try to explain what I am going through has no clue.

Ok then, problem solved. Just got to decide what to want instead of sex with my husband. Any thoughts? lol
-watch grass grow
-cook
-read a book
-have sex with husband.....oh wait

Therapist are full of BS. I am tired of holding my own hand and doing myself.

I'm sure it will continue to be her number one question if she insists on giving the above advice.

And to think the answer was right there all along. At least now I don't have to care what my kid thinks. How amusing: page one: black, page two white. End of story.

Wow, and to think we've all been working so hard to find the answer to our sexless marriages.
What a slap in the face. This therapist lives in fantasyland.

Romantic and passionate? Was there a specific reference to music and candles? These people must own shares in a candle manufacturer. Please E-mail that therapist the link for this group. We'll have a field day.
