I Live In Canada

No Place Like Home

I love Canada and am proud of it. When I'm at sporting events I sing our anthem, on Canada day I cover myself with red and white. I love to travel but when I do, invariably before the trip is done I find I'm missing home. I feel safer here and could never imagine not having a place here to call home. Back bacon, Canadian pizza, Canadian beer (the best!) and a society where it is ok to be whoever you are is just a little bit of what I love about being Canadian.

*Tim Hortons's

*Barbecuing in the winter

*Snowball Fights

*The warming up after being cold

*world class wines

*hockey, hockey and more hockey

Our postal system is crap. I don't know if yours is much better though. I sent a package to someone who bought something from me on Ebay and it took three weeks to arrive. He couldn't believe it until he saw the postmark. I think the problem is the border crossing. If I send a letter or package within Canada it's 2-3 days max delivery. I'm sure it's similar on your side of things too. Give a rent-a-cop a gun and have him stand on the border and LOOK OUT -lol

LOL - that is SOO evil!!!

I guess we have to bring them down here so they can see what it is like to win a game :P

All in all I think Canada definitely has some great things going !! ( Oh except the postal system..LOL)

Well, it's true you do have hockey there but the majority of the players are transplanted Canadians :)

Tim Hortons will hook you. It hooks them all mmmwahahaha

I have never been to Canada, but have always wanted to go. Some of your favs I can definitely agree with...Snow being first and foremost ...Tim Horton's I have yet to try :(...I cant count the smushed one I received...umm but we have hockey here too. Speaking of hockey, BF and I are going to go to a game in Dec.. Rangers vs Red Wings!! But ok yeah I have to admit I am somewhat partial to Canada...I mean what is it about the men there? Is there something in the water...LOL
