I Live In Poverty
Wow! I am looking back on my original stories and I can tell I was depressed when I wrote them. Fortunately, I am feeling a lot better these days. My doctor has added a new antidepressant to the ones I am already taking and I have more energy and focus, so I am using it to try to make the world a better place instead of just feeling sorry for myself. Right now I am fighting to change the electricity laws in my home state of Texas so that people living at or below the poverty line, like me, don't have to choose between keeping their lights on and putting food on the table. We now pay the highest electricity rates in the nation in Texas, and most people say that will never change because the energy companies here are so powerful. I say the energy companies haven't met me yet!
