What Boyfriend? My...

What boyfriend? My honey left 9 years ago May 26th and I've been alone since that time by choice - I thought it was about time that I quit doing the same thing over and over again hoping for different results. My son has come to stay with me temporarily.

Yes, he is special in so many ways and has had such a hard life. He is still sweet when the world treats him good.

must be a special kind of guy- mox

My son is disabled for life. He had 3 day measles/encephalitis at age 6 months and it changed the course of all of our lives. It affected his hand eye coordination - he will never drive in this lifetime. He is sort of like an Asperger's syndrome person also. He reads the Physician's Desk Refererence for recreation and knows everything about chemical stuff - he's like a savant in that way. He's never had a job, nobody will hire him because the measles/encephalitis turned him into an epileptic also. He's never had a date - he's 45. He hasn't had a seizure for many years - but you never know when one will happen. He had 45 of them before he was 3 1/2 years old.

whats your son -doing - mine stays with me -works for me helps me out a lot soon he will go to a better job sure going to miss him

Yes - doing the same thing over and over again hoping for different results has been classed as insanity! LOL
But, we all have that optimistic hope that this one will be the prince who will take us to the castle and our troubles and trials will be over - not so. When we trade partners - we just seem to trade problems to solve. I keep hoping though - it seems there are people who have these "fairy tale" romances and marriages - and I wish it would happen to me.
I just read the book "He's Just Not That Into You" which opened my eyes a lot about the treatment we accept from guys - and how we need to look for these signs that we are being used.
