Music = Freedom

Ok, so this is kind of weird, I mean it's my first 'blog/experience' so do excuse me if I suck :)
I'm also English so my spelling may be different.

Well, I'm 16 years old and, obviously, still live with my parents and 4 younger siblings. It can be so hectic around our house, as you can imagine, and I would love to get out more. The thing is, my parents are pretty protective, well that's an understatement. I'm not really allowed out with my friends as much as I would like to be; I have alot to do around the house and I often need to take care of my younger brothers and sisters.
The only thing I find that can put me in any mood I want is music.

I have a pretty varied taste in music which helps alot; I have my Biffy Clyro next to Paramore and Panic!, with Guns n Roses and Metallica on the same shelf. And you can never go wrong with The Beatles next to Muse and The Killers.

What I mean is, music is the best way to express myself and really let go. I've tried learning the acoustic guitar myself but the strings broke and I'm too embaressed to go buy some more. I'd like to learn to play, just for my own entertainment. Poems are my speciality and I would love to put music to them.
I'm not sure if anyone else feels the same way but... Maybe it's just me, it usually is :)
