Kaneohe

My Dad was a marine recruiter working out of Honolulu and they moved there the year I graduated from high school. My mother's mother died suddenly and I felt compelled to join them there to help my mother through her grief. We lived in Haiku Valley in Kaneohe. I loved this non-denomination church that met in this park off Kam. hwy. I went to the University of Hawaii at Manoa and even did a few classes at the Kapiolani Community College. If I could have obtained a part-time job I would have stayed there longer, but I had no time to learn Japanese which at the time was a requirement for a good job.
