The Pleasure In Knowing You Are Being Understood.

Oscar Wilde says it better than me: Pleasure can arise out of a variety of things but of all pleasures, the greatest one is the satisfaction
of being understood by others.

.....and Dr. Carl Sagan: the use of our intelligence quite properly gives us pleasure. In this respect the brain is like a
muscle. When we think well, we feel good. Understanding is a kind of ecstasy.

Kindred feelings are indeed potent. It's a lucky person who finds that connection to others.
Careful, though. Sometimes the primal urges we have to be accepted can lead us to do bad things. People get divorced all the time because they believed that one person could put them back into mother's arms as they were as an infant. It's unrealistic to expect too much intimacysometimes. I have noticed that smart, loner types often expect this "mother love" and chase it with futility their entire lives. Not that I know you.
This type of need can also make you vulnerable to those who might take advantage of this need.
Just some thoughts.

Guess if everyone took the time and effort to understand the others, we will see less pointing fingers and much more love.
