Sweetest Woman In The WorldHer name was Michelle. When I met her, she already had breast cancer. She should have, and would have beat it, but was misdiagnosed for 2 years. For the next year and a half that I knew her, it just spread and spread. She spent the last 3 weeks of her life trying to fight it, in a hospital bed. 2 of those weeks in the hospital, her final week at home with hospice, surrounded by family and friends. She took her final breath on my dad's birthday... 2/20. She was 44.
If you didn't know her, you'd never know she was sick. She was at work every day with a smile on her face. She never showed her pain, and it was excruciating at times. She would laugh, joke, sing, dance. She was such a lover of life, even though she had it so rough, even before the cancer. I think most of us would do good to learn somethings from her.
She was my Kanga, I her Roo. Her son came to tell me while I was at work that day. I was an absolute wreck. I knew it had happened as soon as I saw him, because he wouldn't be there otherwise. I miss her so much, and hate that such a good person had to suffer so much.
