And The Clock Strikes 12 Midnight

Dearest Baby Girl,
Midnight came and I realized that today is your day, Baby Sister. If you were still alive and with me we would be dancing around the house with the music blaring celebrating your 40th Birthday. Laughing like we got away with something good to eat with crumbs falling on the floor. Our skirts would be twirling in a circle.

Oh Baby Girl, where are you now? Who took you away and why?  My best years have been spent trying to cover for your absence from those who loved you most... far more than me. My missing you all my life simply doesn't compare, my Dear. My heart aches for you in the most secret places so I've turned over rocks, digging in the dirt looking for your replacement.Bloody fingers have healed. Yet nothing was ever found. Just sparse memories that serve as evidence that you existed so long ago.

Baby Girl. Oh Baby Girl. Today I say your name out loud since you have evolved into my most precious ancestor. You now belong to the ages.

Namste to you forever, Princess.
