Never Really Got to Know Him

My father passed away when I was seven years old.

I always missed him.  However, I was a grown woman with children before I begin to understand just how much not having him around had affected my life.

Looking back it bcomes more clear with each passing day how very important a dad is in the life of a little girl and young woman.

My father had no choice in not being there for me.  Yet, the men who choose not to be there for thier daughters not only affect the little girls but every person she comes in contact with her entire life.
