Wish I Didn't Have This Experience....

I too lost one of the most important men in my life this past summer.  I can remember it vividly.  I had to work that day so Mom and Dad were going to watch my kids for me.  I was running late and Daddy called me and told me "If you aren't going to work, me and Momma are going to New Orleans."  He was always a joker.  .....  He loved his vegetable garden and worked on his tomatoes all that day.  Around 6:00 that night, he brought some tomatoes to me and told me to fry my husband some green tomatoes for supper.  (He NEVER let us touch his green tomatoes.)  Later that night, we were headed to bed when I heard a frantic beating on the french doors that lead outside.  It was Momma.  My parents live directly behind us.  All I heard was, "it's your Daddy".  My husband started CPR and I called 911.

I never went in the house but I did look thru the window pane of the door and that is a memory I wish I didn't have... of my precious Daddy laying on the floor as my husband performed CPR.  I miss him terribly.  I was his baby girl and always will be.

thank you... I am blessed that I had my Daddy with me as long as I did and that my kids had a wonderful relationship with him. He was not ill and did not suffer. I know if he could have chosen the way he was going to die, he would have picked exactly what happened. That gives me comfort.

I'm sorry to here about your loss. <br />
I hope things take a turn for the better in your life
