Dont Drink And Drive

On FEB. 11 2011 I left the bar on my motor cycle and failed to make a turn I hit a guard rail and nearly severed my right leg, after 6 months in the hospital and more surgeries than I could count I decided to have it removed. I was home 2 weeks later about 3 months later I was fitted for a prostetic. it took 3 weeks in the VA hospital and lots of physical theraphy. but I left there walking with a cane. its been a year and a half and im doing great I walk normaly walking down hill is still a little weird but I realy don't think about it much. im back to doing everything I used to do. some things are a little slower but I manage. I don't realy think of my self as disabled, but other people still do, not in a mean way but I feel like they look at me differently. the think its a bigger deal than it is.
I would be interested in talking to someone else that has been through something similar.
