I Don't Know How To Explain It! Somehow I Feel Like Everything I Believed In Was A Lie, Some Kind Of Fabrication Created By Us! Like When I Was Growing Up And In School [I Went To A Catholic School] They Made The Father[Father, Priest Whatever!] Seem Like Some Kind Of Higher Power Or Something Like That When In Fact, They Are Like Us. They Aren't Perfect And They Do Commit Sins! Look For Instant Father Alberto; He Is A Catholic Priest And Priest In The Catholic Religion Can't Have Sex And Get Married, Because They Took A Vow Of Celibacy - And This Dude Had A Girlfriend And Stuff [Meaning He Broke The Vow] And Still He Says That He Did Nothing Wrong =/ And That He Will Continue Working As A Priest And Stuff. That's Pretty Messed Up. Like We Can Take A Vow And Brake It And Still It's Fine... Hell No! And What About Those Priest That Molested Kids Are They Still Holy? I Don't Think So!

So I Don't Go To Church Anymore And I'm Not Planning On Going Anytime Soon, If I Want To Feel Close To Good I'd Pray , If I Feel The Need To Confess I'd Confess Thru Prayer, I Won't Confess My Sins To Other Sinner And Stuff.

It's Unfortunate But That's The Way It Is! Now, I'm Not Trying To Generalize 'Cause I Bet There's Good Priest And Stuff But It's Not The Same And A Simple Prayer And Meditation Do The Trick!

I USED to be a practicing catholic . . . .was even in an all girls catholic school . . But i haven't "practiced" the faith in over 6 years . . I don't receive communion anymore . . I just got turned off it by my teachers and priests. . always looking down on me or trying to force me to go for mass, and immeadiatley assuming I was a bad kid just cause I questioned some things . . maybe hopefully one day I'll go back? . . . I just don't know any more . .

Though Im not catholic, I watch a lot of catholic media and listen to a lot of generally christian radio things (Im not sure why). It seems from watching catholic tv that a lot of priests in parishes and nuns especially make the clergy out to be infallible and next to god. Ive heard a lot of stories from people who were raised catholic about being sent to hell if you talked back to a mother, or sent to hell if you dropped any of the host during communion.
In defense of the church, none of those things are actual church policy, though churches seem to make up their own policy pretty much at will, and the church tries to be pretty clear about the clergy's capacity for sin.
To be realistic though, no part of the church seems to know what the other parts are doing. Its a secret organization and abuse goes unchecked and intentionally covered up, especially when it comes to children. I dont think the power theyre given corrupts, I think it just allows them to express the corruption they already have within.
No point really saying all that.. just things Ive seen.

Was it Karl Marx that said that religion is the opiate of the people? Something like that. I have been on a religious journey most of my adult life. Other than my belief in God, religions do very little for me. They all seem to be organizations that anyone can join. It's up to the individual to make it a positive activity.
    It could be I haven't tried...enough.
