So Young

About a month ago my best friend of 5 years lost his sister she was 17 and she hung herself, she was so beautiful and it was such a waste of a life.

He went on a downward spiral and got into drungs and binge drinkin ghe is the same age as me(19).

I got an email msg from a friend that Kate had hung herself on monday the 10/05/07 outside her bedroom window while her mum and her uncle where in the kitchen, her uncle found her.

What has baffeled everyone is that no one knows why she did it on the sunday she was happy jumping around and loving life she never suffered from depression or anything.

I personally think it was drugs, due to the family history.

At her viewing, her dad put a bottle of Jim Beam in her coffin!!! WAT THE! shes 17!!!!! no wonder shes gone her family is so unstable!

im so sad for my best friend brad that was the only sibbling that he had and now his little sister is gone.

Too all this reading this even though someone may seem that they have no cares in the world or they seem happy all the time most of the times the most happiest people have the most problems.

your feedback on this story would be great or any ideas of why she may have done it..

Thankyou

There will never be an answer to the "why" question that will satisfy you or Kate's loved ones. Suicide is beyond reason or words. I think that's what is so damn hard about it!
I'm sure that drugs frequently play a role. It doesn't take much for a good high to turn bad.
Try not to judge her Dad too harshly - we all grieve in different ways and do our best to show love.
Your friend, Brad, is lucky to have you. Kept an eye on him - those who have lost a loved one to suicide are at an elevated risk of committing suicide. I don't mean to freak you out with that but it is a fact worth knowing.

I am sorry that it happened.. its unfortunate and what I have learned is you cant stop anyone from doing that kind of act, what the issue may be is she put on such a good mask that knowbody knew.. I feel for her brother.. Best Wishes!
