I Love a Good Night's Sleep
First of all, I am absolutely grateful and pretty much blown away whenever I have a good night's sleep. It is a rare commodity.
I'm a hotel night auditor. It's the industry I've been longing to work in for years, so I'm not complaining. It has its benefits, not the least of which is relatively low work-place stress.
Needless to say, a good night's sleep isn't in the cards for me. A good day's sleep is not entirely unheard of, but my sleep these days usually comes in fits and starts. I'll sleep for a few hours, wake up, then maybe get back to sleep, or else be up for an hour or two then sleep again. I tend to get enough sleep to get by, and for me that's important.
What got my attention, however -- and this from someone who has wandered the E.P. catechisms a few years now -- is that some groups, including many I belong to, have hundreds, and sometimes even thousands of members (I Am Lonely being one of the largest I've noticed). As of today, August somethingteen, 2012, this particular group only has 70 members!
Is this a sign? Do so few of us E.P.ers even remember what a good night's sleep is anymore? If we don't know what this elusive creature is, how can we possibly love it!!?
Anyway, I was just wondering . . . To all a good night, have a good sleep, and all that. Thanks for reading my story.
